About

Version 1.0

The Royal Game of Ur is a two-person strategy game that was first played in Mesopotamia during the third millennium BC. At the height of its popularity, the game gained spiritual significance, and events from the game were thought to convey messages about the player's future. But, we just think it's fun :)

The Royal Game of Ur - The Video Game was created by Emily Davis, Kevin Jiang, and Morgan Sickels for CSCE 436 at Texas A&M University. (Almost) all of the art for the game was created for the game. The game can be played with one or two people, and it includes a custom AI.
